3. Failing A/C Compressor
If the compressor clutch isn't engaging, or the compressor is seized or leaking, the system won't pressurize at all. Listen for unusual noises from the compressor when the A/C is switched on. A failing compressor often shows oil staining around the shaft seal.

4. Failed A/C Evaporator
