2nd Gen Ram A/C Temperature Door Actuator (94-02) – 05104879AA

Your A/C is blowing but the temperature won't budge — or it's stuck on one extreme. On 2nd Gen Ram trucks, the A/C temperature door actuator is the only electric actuator in the HVAC box. Everything else is vacuum-operated. When this one fails, you lose temperature control entirely.

⚠️ Important fitment note: The 2002 Ram 1500 is a 3rd Gen platform and does not use this actuator. This part is for 2002 Ram 2500 and 3500 only.

Unlike 3rd and 4th Gen Rams which use multiple electric actuators, the 2nd Gen box relies primarily on vacuum actuators — this is the only electric one. That makes it straightforward to diagnose: if your temperature control is dead and vacuum lines are intact, this actuator is the culprit.
