Great purchase! I bugged them several times with questions by phone before I pulled the trigger on a set of single zone Blend Door USA doors for my 08 RAM 1500. Not cheap as everyone knows but well worth it. These things are beautiful. I did a complete deep clean of the plenum, tested the motors, replaced the evap and heater cores, everything fit perfectly and I expect will work great. Should have a performance report by now but still haven't finished the project. I'm 74 and drop stuff so taking my time ha ha, also building a cabin air filter system into the box to keep the system cleaner, that evaporator was a mess after only 75k miles. Great CS from Ram Parts and BD USA, great product.
What a pain to take the dash out but I haven’t had heat or defrost in more years than I can count. The instructions on your site were almost perfect. Yours was an 08 mine is 05 so some minor differences. We hunt in December and this year we won’t be sitting on electric seat pads or scraping ice off the inside of the window. Thanks
The parts were exactly what I thought they would be when I tore my heater apart. Mine was not broke. They had the upgrade kit in it so I did not use them. The seller was easy to work with.
My local shop installed everything a week ago so far all is good everything works as it should very quiet and smoth ac blows a cool 48 degrees and I air floo is as goog as when it was new
I remember doing this same repair in a previous truck I owned. And that one coming with instructions on how to cut out the HVAC box to replace the doors. Being a perfectionist, no fkn way. Remembered how it came apart and this install was an absolute breeze. Doors fit PERFECTLY didn't need to trim anything or correct ANY clearance issues. The only downside is having to buy the sealing foam for the HVAC box separately.
I'm very satisfied with this blend door kit, the only issue i had was one of the doors was little tight against the upper case, i pull back and smooth it out with a file, other than that I like it
The blend doors and seal kit fit and work perfectly. I also purchased 2 used actuators. They were not needed, but unless you can be certain the originals are still good, I recomend making the investment rather than having the truck down while waiting for them to ship. FYI....OEM actuators are impossible to buy new.
High quality parts. Barring actuator failure these blend doors should outlive the truck. Seal kit was a must to do the job as 20 year old foam was disintegrating. Would purchase again
