3rd Gen Ram Blower Motor Resistor (03-09) – 68004539AA

Your blower fan works on some speeds but not others — or only works on the highest setting. On 3rd Gen Ram trucks, this is the classic sign of a failed blower motor resistor. The resistor controls fan speed by regulating voltage to the blower motor. When it fails, certain speeds drop out entirely. This is the OEM Mopar replacement, direct factory spec.

Resistor vs. blower motor — how to tell:
