On 3rd Gen Ram trucks, the HVAC box foam seals deteriorate over time and are often damaged during any heater core, evaporator, or door actuator job. This OEM Mopar kit restores a proper airtight seal across the entire heater box.

⚠️ 2002–2006 fitment note: This kit is designed for the 2007–2009 HVAC box but also fits 2002–2006 trucks. Two foam pieces in the kit are specific to the 2007–2009 box and will not be used on earlier trucks — everything else applies.

When to replace it:

Fits very well and easy to install. The foam pieces for the heater core stubs and evap core stubs sticking out go ok the inside of the firewall. Just to help people like me who couldn't remember how it came apart. 10/10 product

This job I was really worried about--yet I went ahead and did it. Turns out this went super well and was not too hard to get done. Getting the hoses and ac lines disconnected from under the hood was the hardest -- the heater hose clamps are way underneath--so ended up cutting the hoses and installing new. Would also suggest installing and clamping the new hoses before reinstalling the HVAC box as trying to reinstall hoses and clamps are a real sob. Otherwise, great support and quality doors. All works perfect now.
